Roar you Lions Roar!

Taking up an offer from my friend Woosang I came out to today's BC Lions game and man was it worth wild. The Lions won the Western Final beating the Saskatchewan Roughriders 45-18 to clinch an appearance at next week's Grey Cup.

For any CFL fan it goes without saying that anywhere the Roughriders go, half the province of Saskatchewan follows. This game was no different as the sea of green and white made it's presence known early. But with a score of 29-4 at the half, you would have sworn none of them had a voice. In fact, I'd bet you could hear a pin drop in their section seats. Although I admire the passion they have for the game, on this day I didn't feel too much pity.

On to the Cup to face the Montreal Alouettes! My prediction? Lions, 34-21.

Chad,

I was happy to be wrong about the Lions chances of winning today's game (I thought Dickenson didn't have very good games this year against the Green Riders or in his career, so I wasn't really holding out much hope in the Lions prevailing, but I'm glad they did. As for the Grey Cup game, I don't know if your score prediction will come true or not, but I have to agree with you on the winning team. The Lions just look unbeatable right now and unlesss half the team goes down with injuries and/or the Lions beat themselves; I don't see them being disappointed with next weeks (the game is next week isn't it?) result. Cheers!

Ha-ha Brandon. I cheer for every B.C. team - just not those Canucks!

So Brandon... Considering how much you love Edmonton...You must've been heartbroken that Edmonton Eskimos played so badly this year eh? :p

As for Chad "Born in BC but love the Flames...yet cheer for their biggest rival Edmonton Oilers" Pederson...

I can kinda see why you wouldn't cheer for the Canucks. I've been a Canucks fan for like a decade...but looking at the way that they are playing recently... or over the last few years, it just drives me crazy! But I am still staying loyal to my team.

I knew you'd come to a Lions game eventually Chad! You picked a fine game to attend too, I'd say it was the best home game of the season. The O-Line played by far it's best game against one of the top d-lines in Saskatchewan. Unbelievable. 0 sacks. Dave had time all game and it showed. How about Paris Jackson's catches? Nuts.

You know why so many people from Saskabush were there? Saskatchewan's greatest export is people....;)
